On 30 January 2009, Sir John Holmes joined GRF, Crossroads Foundation and UNHCR for the refugee run and a discussion round afterwards. The importance of prevention was especially highlighted during the disucssion: “One dollar that goes into prevention, equals four dollars in disaster relief” says Sir John Holmes. He also thanked GRF Davos for the ‘100 Ideas for Action’ activity launched at the last IDRC Conference in August and for the good cooperation between GRF Davos and UN-ISDR.
